alt-click to drag windows, in Windows

I was recently asked to set up a Netbook with Windows 7 and demonstrate a couple of tasks. When the time came to demonstrate I hit a problem, a dialogue box appeared that was too tall for the Netbook’s small screen. This meant that the ‘Save’ and ‘Cancel’ buttons were obscured.

Being used to a Linux environment, I attempted to alt+left mouse click on the window and move the top off the screen bringing the buttons in to view – no such luck. It would appear Windows 7 can’t do that.

Thankfully there is a simple, light weight, open source application that addresses this problem. Altdrag allows you to grab a window anywhere and then move part of it off the screen. It does some other useful things too but is best because it is so light weight, it has no gui and doesn’t even have to have a tray icon.

Audioprint website

Audioprint Ltd. started out producing stickers for the music and entertainment industry. They’re expanding their business and now print stickers for all kinds of industries.

They asked if I would help them develop a new site, it was a pleasure working with them.
